| Tom Boscher's'66 Falcon |
| My first new car was a '66, 6-cylinder, 3 speed,2 door. I'm almost 60, and about 3 years ago I told my Wife Pat, I'm ready for my mid-life crisis. So, we started looking for a car. We looked for a '66 Falcon, a '79 Chevy Monza and /or a Dune Buggy. Nothing really caught our attention. In early February, Volunteers of America placed an ad in the Auto & RV weekly paper announcing the auction of a white 1966,289,automatic,2-door Falcon. I went up Febuary 7th and won the bidding. We'll have TJ Williams, here in Mitchell, Indiana, do the body work and painting. We'll probably take it away from stock in that most of the chrome will eventually be removed and holes filled in. We'll probably have the interior changed from the red Naugahyde to red cloth. Maybe add air conditioning, maybe not. We plan on making it a nice car, not a real show car- although we plan on going to shows around Monroe, Lawrence, Washington, Orange and Jackson counties. Its just a good feeling to have what I think is a "cool ride". Tom Boscher |
